Bloomingdale is a village in Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 454 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Bloomingdale Township and is the township seat. In the 1930s oil was discovered within the village limits, but pumping has now ceased due to lack of oil.
Bloomingdale Township is a civil township of Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 2,930. [3] It was established in 1845. [4] The village of Bloomingdale is located within the township, and is the only incorporated town.

Berlamont is an unincorporated crossroads community that straddles the eastern township boundary with Bloomingdale Township. It was formerly known as "Bear Lake Mills" and was a station on the now-defunct railroad between Bloomingdale and Grand Junction. [6] It was centered around a sawmill built in 1857 by H. Anderson and Amos S. Brown. [7]
