Lloyd Woodrowe James (born 26 October 1947), [2] better known as Prince Jammy or King Jammy, is a Jamaican dub mixer, sound system owner and record producer. He began his musical career as a dub master at King Tubby 's recording studio.
The album was produced by Jah Woosh and engineered by King Tubby and Prince Jammy, along with Maxie and frequent collaborator Errol Thompson. The album was recorded at Randy's in Kingston, Jamaica. The material included dub versions of Bim Sherman's "What Sweet You So", Jah Woosh's "Jah Is the Ruler" and Joseph Earlocks' "Free Up the Blackman".
"Sleng Teng" is the name given to one of the first fully computerized riddims, influential in Jamaican music and beyond.
