The original hospital built on Marlow Hill was the "High Wycombe War Memorial Hospital" which opened in 1923 and was extended in 1932. [1] The current hospital, Wycombe Hospital, was built in phases on a site adjacent to the old Memorial Hospital with Phase 1 being completed in 1966, Phase 2 being completed in 1969 and Phase 3 being completed in 1971. The school operated in the old hospital until 1883 when funds were found for a new building. This was constructed just to the north of the old hospital, and the ancient building was finally demolished. In 1915 the school was then moved from this location altogether to its current location on Amersham Hill.

The successor body, Wycombe District Council, used the municipal offices as its headquarters, substantially extending the building to the rear and renaming it the "District Council Offices". [11] [12] Following further local government reorganisation in 2020, the building became the High Wycombe local area office of Buckinghamshire Council. [13]
