Ultimo was a Glasgow-headquartered designer lingerie brand, majority owned by Sri Lanka–based lingerie group MAS Holdings.It was founded in 1996 by Michelle Mone (now Baroness Mone), via her company MJM International Ltd., with her then-husband Michael.
This was the largest textile mill in Sri Lanka. The mill was constructed in an area of 14 acres and under one roof. [1] [2] In 2006 MAS Holdings established a fabric park in Thulhiriya, the country's first privately owned apparel intensive free trade zone. [3] The fabric park spans 66.6 ha (165 acres) and provides employment to over 8,200 people.
