The Village is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, and a part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.The population was 9,538 at the 2020 Census. [4]The Village is an enclave city nearly surrounded in full by Oklahoma City, except where it abuts Nichols Hills.
The community began on March 14, 1898, when W. A. Bradford, president of the Gulf Railroad, bought 160 acres (0.65 km 2) of land to establish a town along the route his railroad planned to use for a rail line between Medford and Blackwell, Oklahoma. The line was constructed between 1897-1898.
