Hoyt Wayne Axton (March 25, 1938 – October 26, 1999) [1] was an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor. He became prominent in the early 1960s, establishing himself on the West Coast as a folk singer with an earthy style and powerful voice.
The reissue includes both versions of "Greenback Dollar" – the album track and the single with the word "damn" covered up with a guitar chord. [ 3 ] In 2000, all of the tracks from New Frontier were included in The Stewart Years 10-CD box set issued by Bear Family Records .
