It is worn with Risa which is a piece of cloth wrapped around the bust. It is worn by every Tripuri women in homes, workplaces, and particularly occasions.
It is, however, different in pattern and design. The clothing for the lower half of the body is called rignai in Tripuri and for the upper half of the body, the clothing has two parts, the risa and rikutu.
