Topock lies between Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City and southeast of Needles, California, on the California–Arizona border. The northern segment (the Mohave Valley Highway) begins at the Colorado River bridge across from Needles, then goes directly northbound to Bullhead City, terminating at its junction with State Route 68 north of town. [1] There is a short SR 95 Truck at Parker, formerly a section of Arizona State Route 72, connecting to California State Highway 62.
It was 3,096 miles (4,983 km) long and stretched from Baltimore, Maryland (some old maps indicate New York City was the actual eastern terminus) to California. Much of the route follows the old National Road and the Santa Fe Trail. Following its decommission, the western portion was later integrated into U.S. Route 66.
