Glens Falls High School, abbreviated GFHS, is a high school serving the Glens Falls City School District [4] and Glens Falls Common School District. [ citation needed ] It is located at 10 Quade Street [ 4 ] near Sherman Avenue in Glens Falls, New York .
Glens Falls left the Empire Football League for the 1997 season to play in the New York Amateur Football League but returned the following season in 1998. Girard led Glens Falls to the Class B state title as a sophomore and was named the MVP of the State Championship Game. John Joseph Nolan Jr. (February 26, 1926 – July 14, 1996) was an American football tackle. Nolan was born in 1926 at Glens Falls, New York. He attended high school at St. Mary's Academy in Glens Falls. [1] Playing at right halfback, he led the 1943 St. Mary's team to an undefeated season. [2]
The Glens Falls Greenjackets won the North Atlantic Conference (AA), their first in program history in the NEFL, by beating the Middleboro Cobras 12-6 in overtime. It was the first season playing in the NEFL for the Greenjackets, who along with the Middleboro Cobras are two of the longest tenured football teams in the US.
