Lewis is a town in Lewis County, New York, United States. The population was 854 at the 2010 census. [2] The town is named after its county, which is named after former governor, Morgan Lewis. Lewis is situated on the southern border of the county and is north of Rome. Most of the town's population lives in the southern section.
