Normally a picture links to its image page, which describes the image, who created it, and links to the original image at full resolution. This is usually best for the reader, and is often required by the uploader's choice of a CC-BY-SA license for the image.
To make your uploaded file appear in an article, you need to insert it: edit the article and add the syntax [[File:Image name|thumb|Caption]] where you want the file to appear. Important: Image names are case-sensitive. For example, if an image is called Picture.jpg then neither picture.jpg nor Picture.JPG will find it.
Float the image on the right unless overridden with the location attribute.
