Neal Brown (born March 11, 1980) is an American college football coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach at West Virginia University from 2019–2024. [ 2 ] Brown was previously the head coach at Troy University from 2015 to 2018.
The Troy Trojans college football team represents Troy University as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans competes as part of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The program has had 24 head coaches, and two interim head coaches, since it began play during the 1909 season.

Chip Lindsey was hired after Neal Brown accepted the head coaching position at West Virginia in 2019. Lindsey had an overall record of 15-19 while at Troy. He was fired November 21, 2021 with one game left in the season.
