Eric Joseph Holcomb (/ ˈ h oʊ l k əm / HOHL-kəm; [1] born May 2, 1968) [2] is an American politician who has served since 2017 as the 51st governor of Indiana.A member of the Republican Party, he served as the 51st lieutenant governor of Indiana from 2016 to 2017 under Governor Mike Pence, who left the governorship in 2017 to become the vice president of the United States.
