The flash from red to green/blue is a function of the "smart charger" testing the voltage level of your battery, to see when to stop putting current to the battery. You just may not have noticed it until now. My eGo T does this, my older eGo 650mah does this with it's charger, Blu usb battery chargers do this, and pretty much any 510/eGo ...
Nov 15, 2008. 1,429. 231. UK. Sep 19, 2012. #2. You need to press the button to activate the battery, and put the positive probe to the middle of the battery connector, and the negative probe to any bare metal on the body (like the outside of the connector) while simulataneously reading the meter. It can be tricky.
Oct 25, 2010. #5. I started having a similar problem with my eGo battery & charger last week. What I've discovered is the center post in the charger, where the battery screws in gets a bit recessed and does not come in contact with the center post of the battery. I use a small flat screw driver to raise it a bit, then screw in the battery ...
30. Altoona, PA. Jul 8, 2014. #1. I've been trying out these Kgo mega batteries and I love them, but now I'm starting to wonder if they're not junk. First one I tried worked great, so I bought I second. I charged it, put it on a smok dual coil cartomizer and tried to hit it, but the button just flashed red/white/blue really quickly and wouldn't ...
Central GA. Feb 25, 2012. #6. It's normal and there are many posts about this. The eGo chargers flip modes every few seconds to check the voltage (green), then revert back to charging again (red). It's a good feature that prevents overcharging. When the charger senses 4.2v, it stays green and charging is complete.
20,514. California. Mar 5, 2012. #1. My wife's pink eGo-T battery stopped working a couple days ago. The battery button lights when pressed but the battery will not power any atomizer or carto I have put on it. The battery is fully charged and is a 650mah size. I did try turning off and on the 5-click protection to rule out that as the culprit.
13. 2. Merrillville, IN. Jul 24, 2014. #1. I have discovered an odd thing about one of my 3 ego batteries and have a question about it if anyone knows. I can change the color of the LED light on just this one by pressing once, waiting a moment and then pressing twice in rapid succession. It came lighting up red and I accidentally changed it to ...
Look straight into the battery connector - the center post is surrounding by a rubber O ring. Insert your tool - just a bit - between the center post and the O ring and try to pull the center post up. Work around the post and do this in a couple few places. Try the battery again.
Mar 9, 2012. #16. The determination has been made that the standard eGo 4.2V@420ma charger is the proper charger for charging 650, 900, and 1000mah eGo batteries. I have seen some confusion on this topic, there is no additional charger for the various mah outputs if you are using authentic Joyetech eGo batteries.
Ridgeway, Ohio. Jun 12, 2016. #1. I found this video by accident and thought it was interesting. It shows the BMS for the battery pack for the EGO batteries used in power tools (like leaf blowers and trimmers). This is the application that lithium ion battery manufacturers intended their 18650 cells to be used in.
