Augustino Eugenio “Gus” Mercurio OAM (10 August 1928 – 7 December 2010) was an American-Australian actor, boxing referee, boxing judge, and sports commentator.He was equally prominent as a character actor on film and television, and as a personality in the sports world.
The Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame is a sports hall of fame which was founded in 2001 and began inducting boxers into the Hall of Fame in 2003. Since then annual induction dinners have been held across Australia.
