Thomas Peter "Tim" Seres (1 April 1925 – 27 September 2007) was an Australian bridge player, generally considered among the best to represent the country internationally. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He was a contributor to several magazines and awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1988 for his services to bridge.

The concept of BridgeClimb originated in 1989 when BridgeClimb's Founder and Chairman, Paul Cave, assisted in organising a Young Presidents Organisation World Congress in Sydney, which included a climb over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Following this event, Cave decided to establish climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a permanent attraction.

The World Bridge Federation has a Congress to which each NBO is entitled to send one delegate. The Congress meets every second year, at Team Olympiads and at World Championships. The WBF is administered by an Executive Council which is assisted by the various Committees and Consultants it appoints. [2]
