The City of Edgewater is a home rule municipality located in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. [1] The city population was 5,005 at the 2020 United States Census . [ 5 ] Edgewater is surrounded by Denver to the east, Lakewood to the south and west, and Wheat Ridge to the north.
The Baugh House is an 1860 hand-hewn log cabin encased in a circa 1904 frame farmhouse, and is one of several historic structures in the Wheat Ridge Historic Park. The Wheat Ridge Historical Society, in cooperation with the Colorado Historical Society and the City of Wheat Ridge, restored the house, which was designated on August 14, 2012. [19]
Over time Henry Lee acquired considerable land in Jefferson County, and at one time owned a whole section of what is now known as Edgewater and a large portion of Wheat Ridge. Crown Hill Cemetery is part of his old farm. Lee sold 180 acres (0.73 km 2) of land to the Crown Hill Cemetery Association in 1908 for $47,000.
Sloan Lake is located on the western edge of Denver's city limits, adjacent to the suburbs of Lakewood, Edgewater and Wheat Ridge. The approximate boundaries are Sheridan Boulevard to the west, 17th Avenue to the south, Raleigh St. to the east, and 26th Avenue to the north. [2] There are no tributary streams to the lake.

Fairmount is bordered to the north by Arvada, to the east by Wheat Ridge, to the south by unincorporated Applewood, and to the west by Golden and undeveloped land on North Table Mountain. The southeast corner of the Fairmount CDP touches Interstate 70, which leads east 8 miles (13 km) into Denver.
