Capital 958 (Chinese: 958城市頻道; lit. '958 City Channel') is a Mandarin-language radio station in Singapore. Owned by the state-owned broadcaster Mediacorp, it broadcasts a classic hits format. The station's origins can be traced back to Radio Malaya Singapore's Green Network—which broadcast programming in Chinese dialects.

The Music and Drama Company (MDC) was first formed by Defence Minister Goh Keng Swee in 1973 to boost the morale of Singapore Armed Forces' soldiers through live entertainment and educating them on national duty. In December 1989, Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) announced plans for two new radio stations to launch in 1990, in honour of SBC's 10th anniversary and Singapore's 25th anniversary of independence; a Mandopop CHR station on 93.3 (which would serve as a Chinese counterpart to English CHR Perfect 10, which launched earlier that year), and an unnamed "MOR" station on 95.5.
