During Texas Volleyball's fourteen seasons in the predecessor Southwest Conference (1982–1995), Texas was conference champion thirteen times and runner-up once. Through 2018, Texas Volleyball has had 33 AVCA Division I All Americans, [3] the fourth most of any program (through 2017).
Basketball and Volleyball are the centerpiece sports of the league but it also stage several events as well. In 2016, the league merged with the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association to become the NCR-UCL Athletic Association. However, the merger only lasted for one season and was dissolved at the end of its maiden season.
