Primrose Hill is a Grade II listed public park located north of Regent's Park in London, England, first opened to the public in 1842. [3] [6] [7] It was named after the 64 metres (210 ft) [a] [8] [9] natural hill in the centre of the park, one of the highest natural points in the London Borough of Camden. [10]
Running through the northern end of the park is Regent's Canal, which connects the Grand Union Canal to the Limehouse Basin and the River Thames. On the northern side of the Park is Primrose Hill, which, with a height of 256 feet (78 m), [42] gives a clear view of Central London to the southeast, as well as Belsize Park and Hampstead to the north.
