Agnes Hamilton was born on November 21, 1868, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Andrew Holman Hamilton (1834-1895) and Phoebe Taber (1841-1932).She had two sisters, Katherine Hamilton (1862-1932) and Jessie Hamilton (1865-1960), both artists like her, and two brothers, Allen Hamilton (1874-1961) and Taber Hamilton (1876-1942).
He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, June 7, 1834, the oldest son of Allen Hamilton, an Irish immigrant and local banker. [1] Hamilton attended the common schools and graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville in 1854. Hamilton studied law at Harvard University. After being admitted to the bar in 1859, he began to practice law in Fort Wayne.
Hamilton was a Whig delegate to the Indiana Constitutional Convention in 1851 and was elected to the Indiana Senate in 1859, serving one term. [1] Until his death in 1864 Hamilton remained active in business as president of the Fort Wayne branch of the Indiana State Bank and of the Allen Hamilton National Bank in Fort Wayne.
Hamilton Mountain is a 3,215-foot-tall (980 m) summit located in Adirondack Mountains of New York. It is located in the west-northwest of the hamlet of Wells in Hamilton County. In 1909, a wood fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. In 1916, the wood tower was replaced with a 50-foot-tall (15 m) steel tower.
