Lake Tomahawk is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in central Middleton Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. The population was 494 at the 2020 census . [ 3 ] It was established in 1966 by the American Realty Service Corporation as a private planned community surrounding the man-made Lake Tomahawk reservoir.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the Lake Mohawk CDP has a total area of 4.5 square miles (11.6 km 2 ), of which 3.7 square miles (9.5 km 2 ) is land and 0.81 square miles (2.1 km 2 ), or 17.99%, is water.
Lake Mohawk [2] is a private reservoir located about 1.5 mi (2.4 km) south of Malvern, Ohio, USA and 2.5 mi (4.0 km) east of Waynesburg, Ohio. It resides in Brown Township and Harrison Township . The lake is relatively small, being a private lake containing 0.7922 sq mi (2.052 km 2 ) of water with a maximum depth of 30 ft (9.1 m).
