The Knebworth Festival was a recurring open-air rock and pop festival held on the grounds of the Knebworth House in Knebworth, England. The festival first occurred in July 1974 when The Allman Brothers Band , The Doobie Brothers and other artists attracted 60,000 people.
The grounds of Knebworth House near the village of Knebworth had been a major venue for open air rock and pop concerts since 1974. In 1979, veteran promoter Freddy Bannister booked Led Zeppelin to play that year's concerts which took place on 4 August [1] and 11 August [2] after the bandleader of the Electric Light Orchestra, Jeff Lynne, turned down the offer to headline the festival.
The Wish You Were Here Tour, also referred to as the North American Tour, was a concert tour by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd in 1975 in support of their then-forthcoming album Wish You Were Here. The tour was divided in two legs in the United States, West Coast and East Coast, and a gig in the UK at the Knebworth Festival.
Knebworth 22 is the third live album by English singer and songwriter Liam Gallagher, released on 11 August 2023 by Warner Records. Knebworth House in 2007. Knebworth House is an English country house in the parish of Knebworth in Hertfordshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. [1] Its gardens are also listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. [2] In its surrounding park are the medieval St. Mary's Church and the Lytton family mausoleum.
