The "Easy Way" series is a middle ground: more rigorous and detailed than the "Demystified" books, but not as rigorous and terse as the Schaum's series. Schaum's originally occupied the niche of college supplements, and the titles tend to be more advanced and rigorous.
Seymour Saul Lipschutz (born 1931 died March 2018) was an author of technical books on pure mathematics and probability, including a collection of Schaum's Outlines. [1] Lipschutz received his Ph.D. in 1960 from New York University's Courant Institute. [2] He received his BA and MA degrees in Mathematics at Brooklyn College.

Always on the lookout for better materials for his students, Schaum eventually decided to create his own books, beginning in 1941 with Piano Fun for Boys and Girls, which he later revised as the first in a series of nine piano method books that became the Schaum Piano Course, completed in 1945.
