The Hildebrand Mill on Flint Creek in Colcord, Delaware County, Oklahoma was built c. 1845 and served hill people of the Old Cherokee Nation territory for more than 125 years. It is located not far from Siloam Springs, Arkansas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. [1]
The Flint Creek Farm is a historic farm in Field Township, Minnesota, United States. From 1915 to 1933 the farm was owned by executives of the area's largest lumber company as a side venture supplying food and hay to the company's lumber camps. Three buildings and a windmill tower are still standing from this period. [2]

The creek was known by the Iroquois as Ax-o-quent-a or Ah-ta-gweh-da-ga, the latter name being translated as "flint stone", with its origins in the Cayuga or Seneca dialect. [ 2 ] The hamlet of Gorham was built in the early 1800s around Flint Creek, with several mills using the creek for power.
