Heart Mountain is a mountain located in the Bow River valley just south of Exshaw, Alberta. The peak was named in 1957 for the heart shaped layer of limestone near the top. The summit can be reached by following the northwest ridge starting from the Heart Creek Trail. It is an easy scramble with one moderate step.

As in many California mountains, larger fauna includes: mule deer, mountain lion, coyote, fox, black bear, feral pig, bobcat and raccoon. Of the 100 highest major summits of the Rocky Mountains, 62 peaks exceed 4000 meters (13,123 feet) elevation, and all 100 peaks exceed 3746 meters (12,290 feet) elevation. Of these 100 peaks, 78 (including the 30 highest) are located in Colorado, ten in Wyoming, six in New Mexico, three in Montana, and one each in Utah, British Columbia, and Idaho.
