The US–China Education Trust (USCET, Chinese: 中美教育基金; pinyin: Zhōng-Měi Jiàoyù Jījīn) is a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. Founded in 1998 by Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch, the first Chinese-American U.S. Ambassador, USCET seeks to promote China–United States relations through a series of education and exchange programs.
Applicants must be of P.R. China nationality, including citizenship of the Special Administrative Region of China - Hong Kong [7] [8] and Macao. Applicants must not have received any financial support from the Chinese government, such as the CSC scholarship, during their studies. Applicants must not have received this award previously.
The International Cooperative Program for Innovative Talents (ICPIT) mechanism is the top-level international educational exchange program for higher education of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. [1] [2] The ICPIT program is administered by the China Scholarship Council. [1]
In November 2009, OCEF received the $50,000 grand prize in the America's Giving Challenge sponsored by the Case Foundation, Parade magazine and the Facebook Causes application, for the most donations received over the 30-day period.
