A bare rocky point from which the Wilson Piedmont Glacier has receded, lying 4 nautical miles (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) south of Dunlop Island. First mapped by the BrAE, 1910-13. The name was suggested by Seaman Forde, and adopted by Taylor, for its likeness to Spike Island at Plymouth, England.
