Kohler Co., is an American manufacturing company founded in 1873 by John Michael Kohler, based in Kohler, Wisconsin. [3] Kohler is best known for its plumbing products, but the company also manufactures furniture , cabinetry , tile , engines , and generators .
Phasor diagram showing 240 V delta and center-tapped phase (a–c) creating two 120 V pairs. Consider the low-voltage side of a 120/240 V high leg delta connected transformer, where the b phase is the high leg. The line-to-line voltage magnitudes are all the same: = = =.
A typical one-line diagram with annotated power flows. Red boxes represent circuit breakers, grey lines represent three-phase bus and interconnecting conductors, the orange circle represents an electric generator, the green spiral is an inductor, and the three overlapping blue circles represent a double-wound transformer with a tertiary winding.
The Kintetsu 7000 series (近鉄7000系) is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Kintetsu Railway since 1986. In 1987, it was awarded the Laurel Prize , presented annually by the Japan Railfan Club.
The 7000-series cars, the system's newest, have an operator's cab in only one of each married pair's cars and operate in groups of three or four. [1] The system's track gauge is 4 ft 8 + 1 ⁄ 4 in (1,429 mm) – 0.25 inches (6 mm) narrower than 4 ft 8 + 1 ⁄ 2 in (1,435 mm) standard gauge. [2]
Zigzag transformers are often required by utilities when connecting three-phase inverters (usually for renewable energy) to the grid to provide a stable neutral voltage and prevent excessive phase-to-ground voltages. This also protects the switching devices inside the inverters, which are usually insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). [8]
Transformers are typically sized on an average load of 1 to 2 kW per household, and the service fuses and cable is sized to allow any one property to draw a peak load of perhaps ten times this. For industrial customers, 3-phase 690 / 400 volt is also available, or may be generated locally. [19]
The two black boxes on the left contain 1:1 transformers for splitting signals, balancing unbalanced signals, or isolating two different AC ground systems to eliminate buzz and hum. The two cylindrical metal cases fit into octal sockets ; each one contains a 1:1 line transformer, the first is rated at 600 ohms, the second is rated at 15,000 ohms.
