Media accounts of previously convicted sexual offenders committing new violent sexual assaults have become commonplace.
Registration Details. Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Section. 42 Pa. C.S. § 9799.32 (1) and § 9799.67 (1) authorizes the Pennsylvania State Police to create and maintain a state registry of sexual offenders, Sexually Violent Deviate Children, and Sexually Violent Predators.
The Pennsylvania State Police will provide community notification flyers to the police departments having primary jurisdiction over the municipalities where the Sexually Violent Predator/Sexually Violent Delinquent Child resides.
