Micrsoft 3D Builder. I am 1 week into 3D printing and have been jumping around different 3D building software packages trying to find the best blend of features and controls. I like the simplicity of the Microsoft 3D builder and of course the price (Free). One feature that seems to be missing is the ability to round edges.
Depending on how big you would like your design(s) would dictate if hollowing out parts could be done. Research the materials you would like to print your designs in as there are some details about wall thickness that need to be kept in mind for 3d printing. Else download some of the free designs an check out how the designer did theirs.
Great video from our community member Joe on how to use "sacrificial" towers to successfully 3D print tall, thin prints!
Hey everyone, I’d love your input into what software I should be looking at to start learning how to design for 3d printing. I’d like to think that I’ll eventually be doing character modelling, but realistically that looks super hard and I don’t have that much free time. I’d mostly be using it to make small useful things like car mounts for my phone, or little grinders and things ...
This is a feature we’re working on and will implement in the future. Once fully developed and launched, designers will get to see who bought/downloaded from them, free and premium models. (perhaps you may be interested in being a beta tester ) Out of curiosity and also feedback to help us how to best implement this for you and other designers.

I just joined a few days ago to try and print a bracelet for my daughter. It’s the one design she has liked and I can’t download it because of the purchase problem. It renders the site virtually useless to me.
Hi, I am new here and very new to 3d printing. My husband and I built an Alunar M508 Prusa i3 and we are having all kinds of trouble. Long story short, we have made sure everything is square, leveled the bed manually, and when we start a print the nozzle starts out fine then digs into the bed. We are going with a cold bed for now, using crepe tape, and we are using PLA at 200C. We used a ...
I recently just got a flashforge creator pro. Pretty excited about it! I’ve only ever printed stuff off once or twice before on my cousin’s printer. What’s some easy to print models on Pinshape? I want to start building up a collection of printed things, but I know a lot of models require a bit of work before they turn out well. I’m looking for things that print in place, and are ready ...
