Jordan High School (also referred to as Jordan High or JHS ) is a public high school located in Sandy, Utah (United States) It is one of five high schools in the Canyons School District. The school was established in 1907, making it one of the oldest public high schools in the state of Utah .
Sandy is a city in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, located in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. The population was 96,904 according to the 2020 United States census. [4] Sandy is home to the Shops at South Town shopping mall; the Jordan Commons entertainment, office and dining complex; and the Mountain America Exposition Center.
Canyons District was created after residents voted in 2007 to leave the Jordan School District, which was the largest district in Utah at the time. [5] David Doty, a former high school Spanish teacher and assistant commissioner and director of policy studies for the Utah System of Higher Education, was chosen by the new board of education to be the district's first superintendent.
As a Freshman at Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah, he led the Jordan Beetdiggers to the 5A state semifinals, where he broke his collarbone.He threw for 3,199 yards on the season, ran for 1,377 yards and was responsible for 45 touchdowns that season.

The Jordan School District Administration Building, at 9361 S. 400 East in Sandy, Utah, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. [1] It was built in PWA Moderne style in 1935 as part of a Public Works Administration project. [2] It appears that the building no longer exists. [note 1]
