Geldermalsen is a railway station in the town of Geldermalsen, Netherlands. The station opened on 1 Nov 1868. [1] [2] The station is a junction, with an island platform for easy transfers. To reach the platforms from outside of the station, passengers must use a bridge. The current building dates from 1884. [3]
The Utrecht–Boxtel railway is an important railway in the Netherlands running from Utrecht Centraal station to Boxtel station, passing through Geldermalsen station and 's-Hertogenbosch station. The line was opened between 1868 and 1870. It is also known as the Staatslijn "H".
The municipality of Geldermalsen was formed on 1 January 1978, when the former municipalities of Beesd, Buurmalsen, Deil and Geldermalsen were combined. The municipality had an area of 101.73 km 2 (39.28 sq mi) and was one of the largest municipalities in the Betuwe. The municipality had a population of data missing in 2021.

The station is located on the MerwedeLingelijn between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen (part of the Elst–Dordrecht railway). It was opened on 27 May 1990 and initially had only one track. Arriva has operated the service since December 2006, but Qbuzz took over services on 9 December 2018. The station is in the residential area Stadspolders.
