The Food Bank works to end hunger in Western Massachusetts by providing nutritious food, strengthening our region’s food assistance network, and developing solutions to the causes of hunger in our community.
Join Our Network. Network membership includes: Access to free food to distribute to clients. Capacity building resources, including access to grants and personalized support. Free training in advocacy, volunteer management, fundraising, and more. Access to SNAP outreach and Nutrition services.
Our Brown Bag: Food for Elders program provides a free bag of healthy groceries to eligible seniors once a month at local senior centers and community organizations. The food items are specifically selected to meet seniors’ special dietary requirements to help them stay healthy and active.

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts relies on the support of volunteers for both large events and daily operations. Follow the link below to the volunteer portal below for the current available opportunities. All new volunteers must complete a virtual orientation before their first shift.
Food insecurity in western Massachusetts has increased dramatically. Your donation today, in any amount, can provide emergency meals to seniors, families with young children, disabled adults, and so many more. A contribution of $50 can provide 150 healthy meals in western Massachusetts.
