The township is served by three separate public school districts. The township has its own school district, Waldron Area Schools, which serves the majority of the township and smaller portions of several adjacent townships. The northwest corner of the township is served by Pittsford Area Schools to the north in Pittsford.
Waldron High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in Waldron, Arkansas, United States. The school educates more than 450 students annually in grades nine through twelve. Waldron is the larger of two public high schools in Scott County and is the sole high school administered by the Waldron School District.

The 2003-2004 men's basketball team won the IHSAA 1A State Championship [4] defeating Blackhawk Christian School (Fort Wayne) [5] by a score of 69-54 [6] The Waldron Lady Mohawks basketball team competed in the 2019 sectional 60 finals. The game went into five overtimes, making it the longest girls' basketball game in IHSAA girls' history.
