Nora's Fish Creek Inn is a restaurant in Wilson, Wyoming, located in a historic building, [1] which was once the local post office and general store. It was a Wild West-themed bar called Blackie’s Fish Creek Inn [ 2 ] for most of the 1970s, until Nora Tygum bought the business and renamed it Nora's Fish Creek Inn in 1982.
It is located in the southeast quadrant of the city, within the Fish Creek Provincial Park, and is part of the Bow River basin. It lies at an elevation of 1,005 m (3,297 ft) and has a surface of 0.4 km 2 (40 ha; 99 acres). [1] First opened in late summer 1978, it is a swimming area open during the summer as a public beach.
Fish Creek flows throughout its length, joining the Bow River on the east side of the park, and there is an artificial lake that offers swimming. With more than 100 kilometres (62 mi) of paved and unpaved trails, the park is a popular area for hiking and biking, as well as for picnicking, swimming, fishing, and observing wildlife.
