Rohnerville (formerly Eel River) [2] is an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, California. [1] It is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) southeast of Fortuna, [2] at an elevation of 197 feet (60 m). [1] The Eel River post office opened in 1857 and changed its name to Rohnerville in 1874 in honor of the town's founder, Henry Rohner. [2]
