The Florida Mountains are a small 12-mile (19 km) long, [1] mountain range in New Mexico. The mountains lie in southern Luna County about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Deming , and 20 miles (32 km) north of the state of Chihuahua , Mexico ; the range lies in the north of the Chihuahuan Desert region, and extreme southwestern New Mexico.

Sierra Blanca Peak (White Peak) is the highest mountain in the range at 11,981 feet (3,652 m). [1] It is southern New Mexico's highest peak, as well as the most prominent (5,533 feet) and the 40th highest in the entire state. [ 3 ]
Access to the range is primarily via New Mexico State Road 152 (NM 152), which crosses the Black Range on its way from Kingston on the east towards San Lorenzo on the west. NM 152 crosses the range at 8,228-foot (2,508 m) Emory Pass, where there is a hiking trail that covers the entire length of the mountains along the central ridge.
