The Carthage Press was an American daily newspaper publisheded in Carthage, Missouri.It was owned by GateHouse Media until August 28, 2018. In September 2018, RH Media Group, a locally owned media company, announced they would be taking over publication of The Carthage Press with the first print issue in October.
Carthage is located south of the Spring River along US Route 71. Joplin is approximately twelve miles to the southwest and Neosho is about 17 miles to the south. Elkland is an unincorporated community in northwestern Webster County, Missouri, United States. [1] It is located on Route 38, approximately ten miles northwest of Marshfield.
