Medora is located along the western edge of Macoupin County at (39.176063, -90.141801 The village's western border is the Jersey County line. Illinois Routes 111 and 267 pass through the east side of the village.
The eastern route was established as U.S. 67 in the mid 1950s, and continued as U.S. 67 through 2001. It then became Illinois 267 in 2001. [3] The southern terminus of Illinois 267 initially was in Medora at Illinois 111; between 2001 and 2006, it was extended south to reconnect to U.S. 67 in Godfrey, concurrent with Illinois 111. [1]

Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace opened in 1984, and is located at the intersection of Kingery Highway, Butterfield Road, and Illinois Route 38 (Roosevelt Road) in Oakbrook Terrace. It continues to present an annual season of five shows. [2] The original Drury Lane Water Tower Place opened in 1976, but closed in 1983.

Mill Run Playhouse (aka Mill Run Theatre) [5] was a 1,600 seat [6] theatre in the round in Niles, Illinois. It was built in 1965 on the grounds of the Golf Mill Shopping Center. [7] It was scheduled to open in June 1965 but torrential rains delayed the opening to July 2, 1965. [8] It was demolished in August 1984. [9]
