The 2024–25 season is the 126th season of the English Football League (EFL) and the ninth season under that name after it was renamed from The Football League in 2016. For the 12th season, the league is sponsored by Sky Betting & Gaming and is therefore known as the Sky Bet EFL.
The English Football League play-offs for the 2023–24 season (referred to as the Sky Bet Play-Offs for sponsorship reasons) were held in May 2024 with all finals being staged at Wembley Stadium in London. The play-offs began in each league with two semi-finals which were played over two legs.
