MOBCOP/Tour of Duty is NIPR locked, i.e. you need to be on a government laptop to be able to use it. Carrera - https://carrera.swf.army.mil - is a mirror of sorts for Tour of Duty where you can at least view the openings on a personal device. I've been told that recently Carrera has all the ToD listings, it used to not.
Not really effective. I have come to realize a lot of the jobs posted they already have someone selected for it they just have to post it nowadays for ADOS tours. What is MOBCOP, and how do you use it to go on a deployment?: I see people asking about deployments all the time and I'm wondering what MOBCOP is, how it works and if it's an ...
If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings… > Change proxy settings… > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN". As of today, I've applied to over 10 positions (about half within my MOS series and the other 50% being 00G positions). Here are some of my questions, but I am highly interested in mobilizing to gain more experience. Would contacting the POC within each position ...
Yes. The hard part is which offers are open and which are closed save specific SM applications. It's a game, but you don't really have anything to lose by applying to anything that looks like something you can work. One of my peers put in for an assignment with 20+ applications and got it. Afterwards found out his was the only complete ...
MOBCOP was the only access for an M-Day soldier to find a tour and I have more than 1 MOS! Not all soldiers are issued GOV computers, and certainly most do not live close by their unit to try and access it! Heck I have driven 40 miles to my Army Reserve Unit to try and get on MOBCOP a few weeks ago. Guess what?
Yes, I have used it. If you are going thru the mobilization process (CO-ADOS) you will see your packet status on MOBCOP. There is also a search function in which you can see advertised tours based on rank, MOS and location. (6) Comment. Vote down.
