Sales tax on materials and supplies. Permit or inspection fees (or portion therof) required by your local building department for your overall project. Let's say tiling a floor. It estimates $20-25/sf for tiling 10 sf (including tile), and $6-$11 for tiling 100 sf and above. That sounds pretty reasonable.
Accuracy Of Homewyse.com For Rehab Costs. Hello BP, Does anyone have information on the accuracy of this site or alternatives that you recommend? I am a first time wholesaler just making sure my rehab estimations are accurate.
eh - I put in a couple projects: - building a deck - ours is 384 sq ft and cost us $13k to build. We got 3 quotes, most were around 10k, but we went with the more expensive guy because we liked him and his crew (we had worked with him on another project and found him and the men he worked with to be honest, polite, on time, on budget, etc).
Homewyse. John Hixon Poster. Investor. The Colony, TX. Posted 9 years ago. Has anyone on BP used Homewyse to help estimate rehab costs? If so, did you find it accurate or way off? I realize it is a website that gives general high and low prices for each item but I was just wondering if those prices it gives where even close to what it actually ...
It's about 90sf. The quote was for $2,000. That was for labor only - I had to supply the tile, the thinset, the backerboard and screws, and grout. Now, as an individual contractor, my customers would choke on that price. Just imagine the overhead the company must be trying to overcome at $2,000!

I am trying to correctly price all the costs of material and labor on my repair estimate sheet, and I just happened to stumble across a website called homewyse.com I am pretty sure the pricing is geared towards a traditional homeowner, but ...
My Home design software I used to design my garage says I need 124 4x8 sheets of drywall which is about 4,000 Sq ft. That Homewyse calculator says this should be between $7,558 and $8,883. Does that sound about right?
I'm looking at Homewyse for ball park ideas on pricing for fiber-cement siding. If I were to hire somebody I would think the cost would include the trim around the windows and corners of the home. What is customary when a contractor is estimating residing a home? Homewyse doesn't mention anything about trim.
I know I can do it, but I'm a terrible caulker!!! So, if I have a handyman do it, I'd just like to know how much to plan on spending ($50 per tub, $100 per visit? etc. Thanks in advance, Janne. Hello Y'all, I have a rent house that a tenant just left and the caulking around the edge of the tub is TERRIBLY filthy... moldy/mildew yucky!
