I have been dealing with pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear for about a year. After going to my primary, then an ENT, I finally ended up at a neurosurgeon. I had an MRI first which showed narrowing of a vein close to my ear. The neurosurgeon then performed a cerebral angiography and venography.
I have had pulsatile tinnitus for two and a half months. I checked all the causes of pulsatile tinnitus and found I had none of the causes except my blood pressure was a little bit high at 135/80. I tried to change my diet. My blood pressure went from 135/80 to 125/70 for about a month.
Went back for angiogram of head to fully confirm. The morning of the angiogram the whooshing stoped and the angiogram indicated the jugular had opened up and the fistula was gone ( spontaneous regression). Hope that helps. Try to find a neurosurgeon that is familiar with fistulas and the repair. Hope that helps!
Pulsatile tinnitus. Posted by beatricefay @beatricefay, Jun 2, 2018. Started getting heart beat sounds in right ear only. Got an MRA to check the arteries (no results yet). Strangely the sounds start in the evening and continue when I go to bed. I have no idea why it's quiet during the day.

I get very good relief from a hitly not heart begh dose (6x day) Lipo-Flavonoid supplement I take for the tinnitus I have. Excess salt and too much nonsteroidal inflammatory drugs like advil and naproxen make the tinnitus much worse. Good luck with your problem. 1 Reaction.
Symptoms progressed to feelings of internal head vibrations/quivering and sometimes into chest and abdomen as well as a feeling of shakiness in my limbs off and on. I had a CT Scan and MRI as well as lots of blood tests including checking thyroid and hormonal/adrenal gland issues. All tests normal. Saw an ENT for the tinnitus and also tell me ...
In reply to @morninglory "Am leaving the computer and going immediately to find a piece of foam! Will try Anything!..." + (show) Make sure it's a foam earplug. Buy at drug store or on Facebook really cheap. The foam on earplug expands in the ear. You first squeeze and roll it then quickly put in ear and it expands.
Hi, sorry for the late reply, this went to junk. The mri showed what they thought was stenosis. Once they did the cerebral angiogram, neurosurgeon Found fistula. I had the embolization about a year ago, unfortunately the noise came back after 4 months. Not nearly as bad though, so haven’t went back to doc yet.
I think I have pulsatile tinnitus and I am anxious to find the right doctor and treatment. It is scary as I am anemic with blood flow problems. I do think or am mostly positive that Covid booster attacked my immune system and began a series of health issues never had before the shot. I need to act on this soon and plan to try Mayo.
