The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for the sport of women's flat track roller derby. [1] [2] It sets the international standards for rankings, rules, and competition in the sport, and provides guidance and resources to aid development of roller derby.
Teams which graduated from the WFTDA Apprentice Program during the year were placed in Division 3. After the 2014 tournament season, the definition of the WFTDA competitive divisions changed, and Division 2 was contracted from 60 teams (places 41–100) to 20 (only those teams qualifying for the WFTDA Division 2 tournament, places 41–60).
