Mohave County occupies the northwestern corner of the U.S. state of Arizona, one of 15 counties in the state. As of the 2020 census, its population was 213,267. [1] The county seat is Kingman, [2] and the largest city is Lake Havasu City. It is the fifth largest county in the United States (by area).
Kingman High School's history dates back to the beginning of Mohave County, Arizona. When the original school was built in 1917, it was named Mohave County Union High School or Mohave Union High School. It was built in Kingman on the site of an old pioneer cemetery. In later years it became known as Kingman High School.
The district draws students from Fort Mojave and Mohave Valley as well as the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation. [2] The district includes the following census-designated places: Arizona Village, Fort Mohave, Mesquite Creek, Mojave Ranch Estate, Mohave Valley, and Willow Valley. It feeds into the Colorado River Union High School District. [3]

Enrollment at MCC has increased since its founding in 1981. In 2008, Mohave Community College placed 24th nationally among community colleges in enrollment growth. [5] As of 2011 it had 1,707 full-time students and 4,400 part-time students on all campuses, with 64% being female and 75% being non-Hispanic white.
