O-Cedar is a brand of mechanical and power cleaning products which are rebranded Vileda products. [1] O-Cedar was acquired by the German company Freudenberg Household Products in 2003. The O-Cedar brand was originated by Martin Marietta ; it was purchased by Drackett in the early 1960s.
The company was controlled by Procter & Gamble from 2003 until it was sold to Coty in 2015 along with some 40 other P&G brands. [1] On December 1, 2020, Coty completed the sale of the Wella, Clairol , OPI and ghd brands stake to American private equity firm KKR for $2.5bn in cash whilst retaining 40% stake in the standalone company.

This blend consists of 70–90% polyester that serves as the scrubbing and cleaning fiber and 10–30% polyamide which performs as the holding and quick drying fiber. This blend is usually expressed as a ratio on the label of the mop, e.g. an 80% polyester and 20% polyamide blend would be labeled as "80/20".
