This is a list of law enforcement agencies in the U.S. state of Georgia.. According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics' 2008 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies, the state had 628 law enforcement agencies employing 26,551 sworn police officers, about 274 for each 100,000 residents.
Some Wikipedians have formed a task force of WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) to better organize information in articles related to the Atlanta, Georgia and the Atlanta Metro area. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians.

Atlantas'metro area is the size of Holland or Vancouver Island.That's a little extreme for a metro area don't you think.It must be the largest metro area in the WORLD and makes Atlanta seem more populus than it actually is. Actually, Atlanta's metro is not the largest in the world. It's around 8500-10000 sq miles with much of it being rural.
This task force would focus on specific regions of the state (i.e. North Georgia Mountains, "The Coastal Empire", etc.).
