Lake Braddock is created by an impoundment on a tributary stream of Pohick Creek, itself a tributary of the Potomac River. In 1969, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Northern Virginia Soil District signed contracts which allowed the construction of the dam impounding the tributary of the Pohick creek in Burke. The team had state appearances in 2010 and 2014, losing in the state semi-finals in 2010 to Deep Run HS, and winning the State tournament in 2014 over Langley High School, which was the first boys' tennis state title for Lake Braddock. Opened 54 years ago in 1971, Robinson is located south of Braddock Road near George Mason University, and is administered by the Fairfax County Public Schools. It offers the International Baccalaureate program, and has approximately 3,900 students in grades 7–12. Robinson's school colors are royal blue and gold, and the school mascot is a ram.
Braddock Reservoir [2] is a protected reservoir about 38 kilometres (24 mi) south-east of Swift Current in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The reservoir is along Wiwa Creek, [3] which is a tributary of the Wood River, in the Old Wives Lake endorheic basin. [4] The community of Braddock is near the lake's western end.
