Raymond Charles Stedman (October 5, 1917 – October 7, 1992) was an evangelical Christian pastor and author. He was a long-time pastor of Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California , and author of several books.
Stedman states that The Vigilantes Are Coming "was a reworking of The Eagle, Rudolph Valentino's silent film." [2] Harmon and Glut expand on that to say it was based on Zorro and The Lone Ranger Rides Again in addition to Valentino's The Eagle. [3] However, no mention is made of this being a derivative work in William Witney's autobiography. [4]
